Direct to card printers (DCP) are great, they are quick and inexpensive.  However the only protection the printed area has is from the thin topcoat panel in the ribbon - YMCKT. To protect cards against fading due to UV or normal day to day abrasion, you might consider adding the CLM laminator to your system.

CD800 CLM
 Security, Holographic LaminatesAdding an in-line laminating module to the CD800 converts a CD800 to a CD800 CLM. Laminating adds additional UV and abrasion protection to your card. Add additional security by using a holographic overlay or tactile impression option for an in-line raised embossed design.  Custom embossing dies and custom holographic laminates are also available.

CP80Plus
Datacard's CP80Plus, along with the CP40 and CP60, CP80Plus Angle View
has been one of the most successful ID card printers ever made.  It is not unusual to see printers with over 100,000 cards on the counter. The CP80Plus offers excellent print quality, with a built-in laminating module for added protection against UV and abrasion.

CD800 Multi Hopper
